I’m afraid that the combination of lack of much news and other commitments meant I wasn’t able to write one last week Last Sunday night at Dreamers was a triumph of folk music over the elements. Whilst numbers were  a little light, all those who made it had defied both the threat and the reality of Storm Isha which rewarded some sterling performances with thunderous applause on the skylights....

I’m  sure everyone will agree it was great to be back at Dreamers last Sunday, to see so many friends who had turned out on a very cold evening and, of course, to  hear some great performances. Welcome to the last Dreamers Newsletter of 2023. Health warning, it’s a long one (but some good news at the end!) We had another excellent singers night at the Club last Sunday with a good number of regulars, some great songs and singing and all ably organised by Alistair. Now it’s on to the Dreamers Christmas special this coming Sunday. Those who have booked to eat are asked to arrive around 5.30 or at least in good time to sit down...

Despite the pouring rain (and it’s applause effect as it beat on the skylight at the Victoria), we all had a tremendous night last Sunday with Rob Barratt and his self-penned humorous verse, some familiar, some new.
