Welcome to this week’s Newsletter.
It was great to see some visitors at the Club last Sunday, two great performers to add to the array of our usual talent – well done to all. The quality of performance and the numbers coming along augurs well for the coming year as weather improves and the evenings grow longer.
This coming Sunday, we have the very welcome visit of Flash Jack from east Cornwall and West Devon. We’ve known the various members of Flash Jack for very many years as individuals, as members of the earlier “Hanging Johnny” and, now, in the current line-up of Flash Jack – the name is a Georgian slang term for a person living on the edge of “decent” society and is also a slang term for a sailor. A lively, varied and fun evening, not to be missed. Then some singers nights until the visit of Steve Winchester on 10th March.
