Welcome to this week’s Dreamers Newsletter.
A very good night at the Club last week with several returning visitors including our old friend Mike Nicholson and a high quality of performance so a good time was had by all. This was following on from the Voice Tour in Falmouth – thanks to Pip and Rowena for all their efforts to organise this, to the MCs over the weekend and, indeed, to all who performed. On to the 30th Edition next year.
It’s another singers night at Dreamers this coming Sunday, 12th October, followed by the visit of our next guests, the Shackleton Trio on 19th October. The trio consists of Georgia Shackleton (fiddle and vocals), Aaren Bennett (guitar) and Nic Zuppardi (mandolin and banjo). 3 part harmonies, powerful songs from their native East Anglia with other influences, this is a very welcome return visit to Dreamers. More about the trio on their website The Shackleton Trio

Online, Live to Your Living Room has Lisa Knapp and Gerry Driver this coming Tuesday, 14th October at 8.00. Combining Lisa’s vocals and lyrics with Gerry’s fiddle playing and production values, this is for folk purists and contemporary music lovers alike. And later in the week on Friday 17th, also at 8.00, the site hosts a very familiar name in Jez Lowe, musician, author, and radio presenter, his music is steeped in tradition and heritage. Hearty acoustic music, influenced by the history of North East England, songs from Jez’s latest album, released in summer 2025, as well as lots of old favourites from the past four decades. Tickets and more info on both these at Buy tickets – Live to your Living Room
That’s enough for now, hope to see you on Sunday at Dreamers
All the best
Nigel
