Dreamers newsletter 22nd August 2024

Posted By dreamersfolk on Aug 27, 2024

Hi and thanks to all for the card and messages. Amazingly, 3 days after a heart valve implant in London, I was back in Cornwall. Heavily bruised and still getting tired but all seems to have gone according to plan. What with the tiredness and being out of touch for the last few weeks, this will just be a short Newsletter, hope to gradually build up again.

Hope the Club night went well last Sunday with Kevin Dempsey. Next guests are the Red River Singers on 15th September, more about them nearer the time. In the meantime we have Singers nights for a few weeks.

This Saturday is the next session of the Cornish Zoom Folk Club, starting as always at 7.30 and finishing by 10. We always worry a bit about attendance during the summer but it always seems to hold up pretty well so we can look forward to another good evening. The link will go out tomorrow, just ask me if you need it.

Meanwhile, we have the Cornwall Folk Festival in Wadebridge starting tonight and running over the Bank Holiday weekend. There’s plenty on every dayand we just hope that the weather stays kind – details and tickets all from https://cornwallfolkfestival.com/

That’s all for now. Hope to be feeling up to joining you at the Club on Sunday.

All the best

Nigel
