Last nights entertainment was wonderful. Lots of new faces in the audience and lots of great chorus singing. Ably choreographed by our MC Alistair, we were treated to songs of joy, passion, sadness, songs of Cornwall, Scotland ,Ireland, the US. There was lots of humorous banter before ,during and after the performances. With close on 40 singers, the room was filled with the joy of singing from start to finish.

The reason the Folk Club was established was to experience nights like this, so huge thanks to those who came and made it special.

Next weeks guest performers are Ros & Si, Barron/Brady,

‘Two performers who confidently uphold the richness of the British folk tradition with superbly crafted self-written songs and fine interpretations of English folk song, beautifully sung with great sincerity and with impeccable musical accompaniment. Their beguiling lyrics often draw upon the stories, legends and folklore of the South-West. These two are well loved by our audiences and we strongly recommend them to all other clubs, large or small.’

Don’t miss it, see you there, music gets underway at 7.30pm.
