Our second Sunday back after the lockdowns and isolations and you lovers of roots & acoustic music continue to enthuse us with your support.
We imagined that life after the pandemic would take some months to return to it’s former glory of full houses and the wonderful chorus singing that Dreamers is well known for. We had thought that maybe 10 or 12 audience for the first week or two would be a good number but incredibly we had 23 visitors last week and a truly marvellous 29 singers last night, Sunday 13th Feb.
It really was exciting to see and hear the diversity of song, music & poetry that was on the menu, opening with Bob Burt and his great chorus songs to Alistair & Peter’s harmony to Ben & Heather Lang offering us individual excellence and combining at the end with a wonderful version of “the fox went out on a chilly night”. We also had the local boys “four-fifths” turn up and give us some fun with their music and patter all supported by our great ensemble.
We managed to maintain some reasonable distance and kept the room ventilated and to date have had no positive cases reported to us. We hope that all attending Dreamers Folk continue to lateral flow test so that we may all have a safe & enjoyable experience.
See you next Sunday!
