Welcome to this week’s Dreamers Newsletter
Thanks to all who came along to a very busy singers night last week with no less than 17 different performers, mostly regulars but also some more occasional visitors to the club and a first visit from Chris and Tracey from Norfolk who are enjoying walking the coast path, hopefully as much as we enjoyed Chris’s singing. They commented, as visitors so often do, on how friendly the Club is
It’s another singers night again this Sunday and for a couple of weeks after that. Don’t forget that this weekend sees the start of British Summer Time so clocks spring forward one hour during the night depriving us all of an hour’s sleep. The Club will start at the usual time!
Another reminder of our visit to Bodmin Folk Club on Friday 10th April. They always lay on a good spread of food not to mention some great performers and the opportunity for some chat with our friends there. Let Jonathan know if you can make it and we can see if some car sharing would be useful.

Changing of the clocks is always liable to cause confusion with the Cornish Zoom folk Club with our various international regulars who often have to contend with time changes of their own – not always on the same weekend. The Zoom is this Saturday, 28th March, starting at 7.30 (GMT) and the link will go put tomorrow as usual.
Also online Folk on Foot has another new episode featuring Lady Maisery walking in the grounds of Petworth House. With the stately home and the Capability Brown designed landscape in the background, Hazel Askew, Hannah James and Rowan Rheingans brought along harp, accordion, fiddle and banjo and added their soaring vocal harmonies. A fascinating insight into the talented musicians who make up one of our finest folk trios. Lady Maisery in Petworth Park
And, finally, I’ve just heard that the celebration of Roger Bryant’s life will be on Saturday 25th April at the Membly Hall Hotel in Falmouth from 1.00 to 5.00. A date which I’m sure will go into many Dreamers diaries.
That’s all for this week, look forward to seeing you at Dreamers on Sunday
All the best
Nigel
