Penzance Folk Club visit to Dreamers

31st March 2019 @ 7:30 pm - 10:30 pm
Free

Penzance Folk Club was started in early 2008 by Alan & Linda Collins. Nowadays the club continues to run successfully with elected officers and committee, and the welcome help from a number of members and performers. In 2018, following a change of management at the Admiral Benbow, the club moved premises and now takes place at the Bath Inn, Cornwall Terrace, Penzance.

The club runs alternate Wednesdays from 8.00-11.00pm; most evenings are “Round the Room” sessions where everyone has an opportunity to sing, play a tune or tell a story – there is no obligation to perform and audience are very welcome.
Although the club originated from a background of traditional music, most evenings have a welcome mix of music and song, often including contemporary songs, tunes (some Cornish), American old timey, music hall songs, blues and occasional items of classic pop!
Once a year we at Dreamers invite Penzance Folk Club to the Sportsmans Arms to share an evening of songs & music and depending on numbers attending, the usual format is for Dreamers regulars to perform in the first half of the evening and then Penzance regulars take the second half to finish the evening at 10.30pm.

Always a good night with much variety of material! Come along and enjoy!
