Dreamers Festive Song & Buffet

Posted By dreamersfolk on Dec 19, 2017

Sunday 17th December 2017, yet another great night at Dreamers folk, the best folk roots & acoustic music venue in …Four Lanes!

The evening started with the unveiling of our new Dreamers Folk banner, which will watch over all future concerts and sing-arounds and add a colourful backdrop to proceedings, many thanks to www.sailflags.co.uk for their great design work and timely production.

Kitty & her team had arrived early and set out the tables for our festive buffet, complete with miniature Christmas trees and crackers, it was a beautiful display. The Sportsmans Arms provided a cold meat buffet par excellance which was devoured while wearing xmas party paper hats and readings of the cracker jokes ( which were collected afterwards, perhaps the grandchildren will find them funny?!!).

Fully replete, the evening of Festive & Seasonal Songs got underway with a hearty “Jingle Bells” followed by a great mixture of Christmas carols, humorous monologues, self-penned seasonal songs and a little poetry. There was  also room for the “St.Day Carol” and the evening finished with the popular Lingham version of “While Shepherds Watched their Flocks by Night”

Dreamers will now take a break over the holiday period for 2 weeks and re-convene on Sunday 7th January 2018 with our annual Mummers play performed with little talent by the Rum & Shrub Shantymen!! I should add that this is also a singers night so if you want to perform, please come along as normal.

Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year to you & yours from all at Dreamers Folk.
