Dreamers Folk have had a brilliant year! 2017 may be on its way into history but it has left us with so many great memories to cherish. We may be close to the “big toe” of this island of the UK but some fantastic musicians have “legged it” to West Cornwall and given us much folk, roots and acoustic music to enjoy.
Thanks go to January-Strange Love, February-Andy Clarke & Steve Tyler, March-Baldricks Plan, April-Lynne Heraud & Pat Turner, May-Hand Picked( Mic McCreadie & Adrian O’Reilly), June-Folk weekend with Fly Yeti Fly, July-Bram Taylor, August- Ekhohead, September-The Rubber Wellies, October-Sarah McQuaid and November with Jimmy Aldridge & Sid Goldsmith.
Add into the mix our visits to Bodmin Folk Club and Penzance Folk Club and their return visits to us and I think we can say we’ve had a good year of Music & laughter.
We kick off 2018 on Sunday 7th January with a fun night of local singers and a Mummers Play performed( I use the term loosely!) by the infamous Rum & Shrub Shantymen.
Our first Guest of the year, Geoff Lakeman, will be with us on January 14th. Geoff is a great listen, his stories between the songs are worth the entrance £5 on their own, a fantastic start to 2018!
